April 2025: Imagine Heaven

Title:
Imagine Heaven

Author: John Burke

Publisher: Baker Books

Genre: Christian

Pages: 352

Rating: 4/5 Stars

Summary: "In Imagine Heaven, he compares more than one hundred gripping stories of near-death experiences (NDEs) to what Scripture says about our biggest questions of Heaven, including:

● Will I be myself?
● Will I see friends and loved ones?
● What will Heaven look like?
● What will we do forever?
● What about children and pets?

Burke shows how the common experiences shared by thousands of near-death survivors--including doctors, college professors, bank presidents, people of all ages and cultures, and even blind people--point to the exhilarating picture of Heaven promised in the Bible.

This thrilling journey into the afterlife will make you feel like you've been there, forever changing the way you view the life to come--and the way you live your life today.
"

I read this book because Taylor had suggested it. I got through the first half really quickly, but then it seemed to become repetitive. Regardless this was a super interesting book to read and gives me a sense of calm now when I think about death. This book paralleled a lot of what I actually learned in the telepathy tapes.

Memorable Quotes/Morals/Moments:

  • There is a being of light.
  • Heaven has nature and has hightened senses.
  • The beings speak using telepathy.
  • There are pets.
  • Everything is made of light.
  • There is overwhelming love and peace.
  • There is a life review. (All about relationships and love).
  • There is water.
  • People are greeted by loved ones and ancestors.
  • Heaven is on a hill.
  • We all still have a purpose and things that make us unique.
  • A void or pit exists, but it seems to be filled with people who choose to stay away from the being of light.
